Yue Zhang (Ewan), 2019July 2019 will definitely be an unforgettable time in my life, in which I studied at FEN Summer School, Universidad de Chile, for two weeks sponsored by the Luksic Scholarship.
I’ve always thought that nothing can be better than living and studying in a different country, even a continent. I was so lucky to have experienced both at the same time.
When in Chile, lectures let me get a basic sense of business in Latin America, communication with my classmates broadened my horizons, and daily life made me feel the breath of the whole country.”

The Babson Luksic Fellows Program is a 5-day residential program for SEE-Chile alums to experience an extended learning journey to Babson College. The program is split between in-class seminars and practical excursions to experience entrepreneurship education in the ecosystems of Babson and Boston. This type of program set-up aligns with Babson’s experiential learning approach, but also allows Chilean faculty to feel what it is like to be a part of a robust entrepreneurial learning community. During the program each Fellow is assigned a Babson faculty mentor for one-on-one coaching for 1.5 hours. Babson mentors help Fellows on specific challenges related to building and growing entrepreneurship programs.

Claudina Uribe, 2017I believe in the value of relationships, interactions between people from different cultures that connect through a shared passion for entrepreneurship. The Luksic Fellowship was an extraordinary experience that strengthens the way we teach and connect to continue building global ecosystems of entrepreneurship.”

Norma Muñoz del Campo, 2019I dedicate myself to teaching public policies and the necessary development of innovation skills that are required for this. Participating in the Seminar at Sciences Po allowed me to dialogue about practices, methods and mechanisms implemented in the classroom by that prestigious institution and share with Chilean colleagues with whom we reflected on how to enrich our practices towards the future to achieve a comprehensive quality education.”

Professors, researchers, and administrators of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the University of Notre Dame
The “Faculty Exchange Luksic Grants” were created in 2013 via three independent scholarships awarded in part by the Luksic Family to the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, the University of Notre Dame du Lac, and Boston College, with the purpose of fostering collaboration between these universities through international research, exchanges and conferences. Once the initial cycle of scholarships ended in 2016, they were renewed with the first two universities.
In 2022, with the aim of deepening this collaboration, the University of Notre Dame (ND) and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (UC|Chile) announced a joint call for the development of collaborative research between the institutions, under the name of “ND-UC|Chile Luksic Scholars Joint Research Awards”. The selection of proposals will be made exclusively by a panel of experts from ND and another panel of experts from UC|Chile.
Candidates will be awarded scholarships and/or funding directly from the university to which they apply. The university is exclusively responsible for selection and admissions decisions, and does so at its complete discretion and, subject only to the eligibility conditions established by the respective program. The Luksic Scholars Foundation has no participation or influence in the application processes, admissions decisions, or awarding of scholarships.
Fernanda Soza, 2018Along with Scott FitzGibbon, a law professor from Boston College, we were working for over a year in the first edition and translation of Padre Alberto Hurtado’s work to the English language. Long hours in the library ended up with an international conference and the launching of the book Social Morality in Boston College.
Being a window to show Hurtado’s thinking- a man that struggled for civil rights and the creation of a fairest world- is a privilege that was only possible due to the generous contribution of the Luksic grant.”
