About the Program

This program is no longer active. The final edition of the Babson Chilean Symposium for Entrepreneurship Educators (SEE) held in Chile and supported by the Luksic Foundation took place in 2023. From 2006 to 2023, a total of 13 editions were held. You can read more here.

Originally sponsored by Banco de Chile since 2011, Babson College offers an annual Symposium for Entrepreneurship Educators to a select group of educators from universities across Chile, now in collaboration with the Luksic Scholars Foundation. The program is an immersive symposium where you will discover why how you teach is just as important as what you teach.

The goal of this program is to foster entrepreneurial growth and economic development in Chile through entrepreneurship education. Babson seeks to develop an ever-increasing international cadre of innovative entrepreneurship educators who understand the importance of creating intellectual and practical connections between theory and practice in teaching.

Each year, over 40 professors take part in this program which covers topics such as:

  • Process Topics – Case Method Teaching, Managing Classroom Challenges, Curriculum and Course Design, Experiential and Action Learning Pedagogies, Immersion-Based Teaching, Assessment and Assurance of Learning.
  • Content Topics – Entrepreneurial Thought and Action, Entrepreneurial Thought and Action Self-Understanding, Design Thinking, Market Tests and Experimentation, The Present and Future of Entrepreneurship Education, Art of the Pitch, Iteration and Learning from Failure, Teaching Entrepreneurship to Different Audiences.

Information session: A joint information session, organized between the Luksic Scholars Foundation and Babson College, took place on April 4th, 2023. It included a presentation from Babson College as well as a conversation with a Luksic Scholar regarding their program experience. You can find the event recording here.

Candidates will be awarded scholarships and/or funding directly from the university to which they apply. The university is exclusively responsible for selection and admissions decisions, and does so at its complete discretion and, subject only to the eligibility conditions established by the respective program. The Luksic Scholars Foundation has no participation or influence in the application processes, admissions decisions, or awarding of scholarships.
