Designed for university professors in undergraduate and postgraduate programs who are interested in strengthening their practical teaching skills using the case method, with the aim of enhancing education in public policy.
About the Program
The Case Method for Public Policy Workshop, the first of its kind offered free of charge in Chile, represents a collaborative initiative spearheaded by the Blavatnik School of Government (BSG) at the University of Oxford in partnership with the Luksic Scholars Foundation. It is specially designed for university professors in undergraduate and postgraduate programs who are interested in strengthening their practical teaching skills using the case method, with the aim of enhancing education in public policy.
This program will be led by BSG academics, who have extensive experience in training university professors who implement this pedagogical strategy.
During this inaugural session, an invitation was extended to university professors from twenty Faculties, Schools, and Departments spanning fields such as Government, Economics, Political Science, Social Sciences, and Public Administration. Additionally, participation was extended to Institutes and Centers of Public Policy affiliated with various higher education institutions in Chile.

To initiate the application process, candidates are required to express their intent to participate through their respective academic units, which possess the authority to endorse their nomination directly with BSG. It is important to note that the participant selection process is exclusively administered by the Blavatnik School of Government (BSG) via its Case Centre on Public Leadership. This process is executed at the sole discretion and in alignment with the eligibility criteria established within the respective program and its statutes. The Luksic Scholars Foundation plays no role in the application, admission, or participant selection processes.

Eligibility
The workshop is open to university professors from invited higher education institutions in Chile who actively deliver at least one course within undergraduate or postgraduate programs in fields such as Political Science, Public Policy, Public Administration, or related disciplines.
Candidates will be awarded scholarships and/or funding directly from the university to which they apply. The university is exclusively responsible for selection and admissions decisions, and does so at its complete discretion and, subject only to the eligibility conditions established by the respective program. The Luksic Scholars Foundation has no participation or influence in the application processes, admissions decisions, or awarding of scholarships.
