Created in 2007 by Andrónico Luksic, this two-week business study tour is now financed by Banco de Chile with the name “China-Chile Management Immersion Experience (CMIX)”. MBA students from the Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management and the Universidad Católica MBA program join forces to develop a new business plan during their two-week journey to Chile and China respectively. In addition to the academic project and lectures on campus, the students visit cultural sites and various companies in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Santiago, Valparaíso, and Concepción. The students are accompanied by two professors as well during their overseas experience. This is now one of the longest running exchange programs between these two countries and aims to continue to develop bridges and networks between these Pacific allies.

Claudia Serrer, 2017For me, this was more than a two-week trip to China. Not only for the culture, the classes, or the company visits but also because now I have incredible lifelong friends on the other side of the world. For some, it was the beginning of a friendship, a business, or a contact in China. For me, it is an infinite network of friends and opportunities in a country that is closer to Chile every day.”
