Keynote presentation by\u00a0Michael Burger<\/a>,\u00a0 Executive Director of Columbia University’s\u00a0Sabin Center for Climate Change Law<\/a>, in the context of the second session of series of seminars on climate change legislation organized by\u00a0Universidad de Chile<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michael Burger’s\u00a0research and advocacy focus on legal strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote climate change adaptation through pollution control, resource management, land use planning and green finance.\u00a0He\u00a0frequently collaborates with researchers across Columbia’s Earth Institute, and with local and national environmental groups, government representatives, and international organizations.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Burger\u00a0teaches a seminar on Natural Resources Law. Prior to joining the Sabin Center in 2015, he was an associate\u00a0professor\u00a0at Roger Williams University School of Law,\u00a0taught in the Lawyering Program at New York University School of Law, and served as an attorney in the Environmental Law Division of New York City\u2019s Office of the Corporation Counsel.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
