However, we are looking to develop opportunities for Scholars who are currently on-program.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Can I apply to finance XX type of initiative?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As long as you can link it back to the development points mentioned in The Fund Guidelines, yes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Can I apply even though I received financial support from The Luksic Scholars Fund 2021 or 2022?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes but, as mentioned in the Fund Guidelines, your application will receive a 0.5-point reduction from its final score.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What kind of funding can I request?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">There are no limitations on how one uses the funds or the type of expenditure. You may buy computers, access to academic publications, survey services, etc. The important element here is that in the breakdown of expenses in the application form, you explain exactly what expenses you will incur and then justify them in the plan or purpose of your initiative that you will upload to your application.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\"><strong>I am working on a research project alongside an institution and I\u2019m wondering if there is any special consideration for the project or funding in this case. Can the funds be redirected to the institution or will they need to be transferred to the recipient?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">If you are working with an institution on a specific project, we will need documentation that proves there is institutional support, and if it is relevant, depending on the type of research, we will also need documentation that shows compliance with the ethical regulations that the institution may have. In this case, we would need supporting documentation proving there is compliance with these requirements and said documentation can be attached to the application platform.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">We can transfer the funds according to the applicant&#8217;s preference and the institution&#8217;s requirements. We will communicate with the applicant in case he\/she is selected to receive the funds to establish the corresponding process.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\"><strong>I was wondering if there are any standard charges or pre-established budgets that one can use as a base to calculate the amounts that should be requested via the Fund<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">We do not have reference points for putting together a budget. We recommend that you put one together with your team and\/or institution, and\/or use the projected budget\/ fees of the institution itself. This way you can see how much the $5,000.00 USD from the Fund can reach, and in the budget breakdown in the application, you can indicate which amounts you expect the Fund to cover and which expenses will be separate so that we can understand the scope of the project.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">In terms of the funds themselves, is there any consideration surrounding requesting amounts to finance only a part of the project or all of it? Can initiatives be supplemented with one\u2019s own funds?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">In the application form, there is a field to indicate how much you are requesting from the Fund and there is another field in which you can indicate the total cost of the initiative so we can understand if the Fund will cover part of the initiative or all of it. There is also another field where you can enter the amounts of funds you are receiving from other sources. This will help us understand the scope of the initiative. There is no priority given to projects that are fully covered by the Fund or only a part of it.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\"><strong>Applications close on Friday, June 30th, 2023 at 11:59 pm CLT. <\/strong>All applicants will be notified about the status of their application on Monday, August 7th, 2023. Actualmente estamos trabajando en oportunidades para aquellas personas que est\u00e1n estudiando.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tengo XX tipo de iniciativa, \u00bfpuedo postular?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">Mientras puedas vincular la iniciativa con los puntos de desarrollo mencionados en las Bases Administrativas, s\u00ed.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Recib\u00ed fondos a trav\u00e9s de The Luksic Scholars Fund 2021 o 2022, \u00bfpuedo postular?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">S\u00ed, pero tal como se menciona en las Bases Administrativas, se aplicar\u00e1 una reducci\u00f3n de 0,5 puntos a su puntaje final.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 tipo de financiamiento puedo solicitar?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">No hay limitaciones en c\u00f3mo uno puede usar los fondos ni el tipo de gasto. Uno puede comprar computadores, acceso a publicaciones acad\u00e9micas, servicios de sondeo, etc. Lo importante es que en el desglose de los gastos en el formulario de la postulaci\u00f3n, expliques bien cu\u00e1les van a ser los gastos que vas a incurrir y justificarlos bien en el plan o prop\u00f3sito de tu iniciativa.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">Estoy trabajando en un proyecto de investigaci\u00f3n junto a una instituci\u00f3n, \u00bfhay que tener alg\u00fan tipo de consideraci\u00f3n especial para plantear el proyecto o al respecto al financiamiento? \u00bfSe puede dirigir los fondos a la instituci\u00f3n o ser\u00e1n dirigidos siempre a qui\u00e9n postule?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">Cuando est\u00e1s trabajando con una instituci\u00f3n, lo que necesitamos es evidencia de respaldo institucional, y si es que sea relevante, dependiente del tipo de investigaci\u00f3n, tambi\u00e9n buscamos tener documentaci\u00f3n sobre el cumplimiento del reglamento \u00e9tico que esa instituci\u00f3n pudiera tener. En este caso, necesitaremos documentaci\u00f3n que indique que haya cumplimiento con estos requerimientos y se puede adjuntar la documentaci\u00f3n a la plataforma de postulaci\u00f3n.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">Podemos gestionar el otorgamiento de los fondos seg\u00fan la preferencia del postulante y los requisitos de la instituci\u00f3n. Nos comunicaremos con el postulante en caso de que sea seleccionado para recibir los fondos para establecer el proceso correspondiente.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">\u00bfQuer\u00eda saber si existen c\u00e1nones (por ejemplo, como t\u00e9rminos vi\u00e1ticos) en donde uno se puede calcular bajo de esa base los montos que se deber\u00eda solicitar?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">No contamos con puntos referentes para armar un presupuesto. Recomendamos armar uno con tu equipo y\/o instituci\u00f3n, y\/o usar el canon de la instituci\u00f3n misma. As\u00ed podr\u00e1s ver qu\u00e9 tanto pueden alcanzar los $5,000.00 USD del Fund, y en el desglose del presupuesto en la postulaci\u00f3n, puedes indicar cu\u00e1les son los montos que esperas que el Fund cubre y cu\u00e1les son los gastos que ser\u00e1n aparte para que podamos entender la envergadura del proyecto.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">\u00bfExiste alg\u00fan tipo de consideraci\u00f3n, en t\u00e9rminos de los fondos, acerca de solicitar fondos para financiar el proyecto completo o solo una parte? \u00bfSe puede complementar con fondos propios?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">En la postulaci\u00f3n, hay un campo para indicar cu\u00e1nto est\u00e1s solicitando del Fund y hay otro campo en el cual puedes indicar el costo total de la iniciativa, as\u00ed podemos entender si el Fund cubrir\u00e1 una parte de la iniciativa o la totalidad de ella. Tambi\u00e9n existe otro campo donde se pueden ingresar montos de fondos que est\u00e1s recibiendo de otras fuentes. Esto nos ayudar\u00e1 a entender la envergadura de la iniciativa.
