Therefore, \u201c<em>The Luksic Scholars Fund<\/em>\u201d was established as an internal initiative for the Scholar Community to provide continued support to its members\u2019 development in these areas after having partaken in their initial programs supported by the Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">Following the successful editions of The Luksic Scholars Fund in 2021 and 2022, through which 24 Luksic Scholars have received funding for a range of activities, <strong>the Foundation invites Scholars to apply to the 2023 edition<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/luksicscholars.vform.cl\/process\/3951\/public\" target=\"_blank\">APPLY HERE FOR THE FUND 2023<\/a> (English form).<\/strong><br><em>Applications open on Monday, May 29th at 09:00 am CLT.&nbsp;<\/em><br><br><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/luksicscholars.vform.cl\/process\/3920\/public\" target=\"_blank\">POSTULA AQU\u00cd PARA EL FUND 2023<\/a> (formulario en espa\u00f1ol)<\/strong>.<br><em>Postulaciones abren el lunes, 29 de mayo a las 09:00 hrs CLT<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#f85f3c\"><strong><strong>What does The Fund 2023 entail?<\/strong><\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The objective of the Fund is to help Scholars carry out a specific initiative with measurable outcomes that correspond to one or more of the following \u201cDevelopment Points\u201d:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop their leadership skills as an agent of change in their area;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop specific competencies in key areas for their career or organization; and\/or&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop knowledge and research that contributes to their field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">Candidates may apply for up to US$5,000, outlining which of the \u201cDevelopment Points\u201d their initiative supports.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">The total allocation for the Fund 2023 is US$50,000.00-, therefore the Foundation expects to finance a minimum of ten initiatives.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#f85f3c\"><strong>Who can participate?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">The Fund 2023 is exclusively available to <strong>Luksic Scholars who are registered members of the Luksic Scholar\u2019s Portal <\/strong>and <strong>who have completed their Luksic Scholars program(s)<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">Luksic Scholars who received funding via the Fund 2021 and 2022 may apply in 2023, although priority will be given to those who were not selected in previous editions.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#f85f3c\"><strong>What type of initiatives is eligible for funding?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">Applicants must identify a need in their field towards which they can contribute via an initiative that will have measurable results and that corresponds to one or more of the Development Points mentioned above.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">There is no specific topic or type of initiative that the Foundation looks to support via The Fund, instead focusing on the development of the Scholars through their efforts. <strong>All initiatives must be completed by Thursday 31st August 2024.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">Example initiatives include, but are not limited to: organizing a seminar or event, participating in a training course or executive education opportunity, presenting at a conference in their field, or undertaking a novel research project.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#f85f3c\"><strong>What are the relevant dates and timeframes?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">The Fund 2023 will be open for applications<strong> from 09:00 CLT on Monday 29th May 2023 until the deadline of Friday, 30th June 2023 at 23:59 CLT<\/strong>. Scholars will receive the result of their application by email on Monday, 7th August 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Opening of the Funding Call<\/strong>: Monday 29th May 2023 at 09:00 CLT.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Applications Close<\/strong>: Friday 30th June 2023 at 23:59 CLT.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Evaluation of the applications<\/strong>: Monday 3rd July &#8211; Sunday, Friday 4th August 2023.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Communication of the results of applications<\/strong>: Monday 7th August 2023.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Review Period<\/strong>: Monday 7th &#8211; Friday, 11th August 2023.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Final deadline for initiative completion<\/strong>: Thursday 31st August 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#f85f3c\"><strong>The Application Process and Guidelines<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">All applications will be reviewed by the Foundation via a SAFE evaluation (Suitable, Acceptable, Feasible). Successful applications will go on to an Evaluation Panel, composed of four members from academic and professional fields external to the Foundation. Each initiative will be evaluated by two members of the panel and granted a score out of 5 by each. An average of the two scores will become the final score of the application. All applications will be ranked according to their score and funding will be awarded from the highest-scoring<em> application down the list.
