Therefore, \u201c<em>The Luksic Scholars Fund<\/em>\u201d was established as an internal initiative for the Scholar Community to provide continued support to its members\u2019 development in these areas after having partaken in their initial programs supported by the Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">Following the successful edition of The Luksic Scholars Fund 2021, through which 13 Luksic Scholars received funding for a range of activities, <strong>the Foundation invites Scholars to apply to the 2022 edition<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/luksicscholars.org\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/FUND-logo-fondo-transparente-rectabgle-2-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7624\" width=\"314\" height=\"123\" srcset=\"https:\/\/luksicscholars.org\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/FUND-logo-fondo-transparente-rectabgle-2-1.png 489w, https:\/\/luksicscholars.org\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/FUND-logo-fondo-transparente-rectabgle-2-1-300x118.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 314px) 100vw, 314px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#f85f3c\"><strong>What does The Fund 2022 entail?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">This year, the objective of the Fund is to help Scholars carry out a specific initiative with measurable outcomes that correspond to one or more of the following \u201c<em>Development Points<\/em>\u201d. The initiative must help the Scholar:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop their leadership skills as an agent of change in their area;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop specific competencies in key areas for their career or organization; and\/or&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop knowledge and research that contributes to their field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"ls-force-justify\"><strong>Candidates may apply to a single funding stream for up to US$5,000<\/strong>, outlining which of the \u201c<em>Development Points<\/em>\u201d their initiative supports.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">The total allocation for the Fund 2022 is US$50,000.00-, therefore the Foundation expects to finance a minimum of ten initiatives.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#f85f3c\"><strong>Who can participate?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">The Fund 2022 is <strong>exclusively available to Luksic Scholars<\/strong> who are registered members of the Luksic Scholar\u2019s Portal <strong><em>and <\/em><\/strong>who have completed their Luksic Scholars program(s).&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">Luksic Scholars who received funding through The Luksic Scholars Fund in 2021 may apply in 2022, although priority will be given to those who were not selected last year.&nbsp;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#f85f3c\"><strong>What type of initiatives is eligible for funding?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">Applicants must identify a need in their field towards which they can contribute via an initiative that will have measurable results and that corresponds to one or more of the Development Points mentioned above. There is no specific topic or type of initiative that the Foundation looks to support via The Fund 2022, instead focusing on the development of the Scholars through their efforts. <strong>All initiatives must be completed by Tuesday,, 31st October 2023<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">Example initiatives include, but are not limited to: organizing a seminar or event, participating in a training course or executive education opportunity, speaking\/presenting at a conference in their field, or undertaking a novel research project etc.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#f85f3c\"><strong>What are the relevant dates and timeframes?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">The Fund will be open for applications from <strong>09:00 CLT on Monday, 12th September 2022<\/strong> until the deadline of <strong>Friday, 21st October 2022 at 23:59 CLT<\/strong>. Scholars will receive the result of their application by email on <strong>Monday, 14th November 2022<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Opening of the Funding Call<\/strong>: Monday 12th September 2022 at 09:00 CLT<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Applications Close<\/strong>: Friday, 21st October 2022 at 23:59 CLT<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Evaluation of the applications<\/strong>: Monday, 24th October &#8211; Sunday, 13th November 2022<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Communication of the results of applications<\/strong>: Monday, 14th November 2022&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Review Period<\/strong>: Monday, 14th &#8211; Friday, 20th November 2022<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Final deadline for initiative completion<\/strong>: Tuesday, 31st October 2023<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#f85f3c\"><strong>The Application Process and Guidelines<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"ls-force-justify\">All applications will be reviewed by the Foundation via a <strong>SAFE evaluation<\/strong> (Suitable, Acceptable, Feasible). Successful applications will go on to an<strong> Evaluation Panel,<\/strong> composed of four members from academic and professional fields external to the Foundation. Each initiative will be evaluated by two members of the panel and granted a score out of 5 by each. An average of the two scores will become the final score of the application. <em>All applications will be ranked according to their score and funding will be awarded from the highest scoring application down the list.
