Ambassador Haley<\/strong> is the former United States Permanent Representative to the United Nations. She served as a member of the National Security Council and President Donald Trump’s Cabinet, where she broke ground as the first Indian-American woman to hold a cabinet-level position.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After serving as Representative of South Carolina\u2019s District 87, she became the first minority, and first woman, to serve as Governor of South Carolina. Under Governor Haley\u2019s leadership, South Carolina was a national leader in economic development. The state\u2019s unemployment rate hit a 15-year low, saw over $20 billion in new capital investment, and her administration announced new jobs in every county \u2013 over 85,000 total. Reelected in 2014, she served as Governor until confirmed by the U.S. Senate as the U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations in January of 2017.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ambassador Haley\u2019s fight for human rights took her across the globe, from Syrian refugees in Jordan and Turkey, to internally displaced people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Sudan, and Venezuelan migrants walking miles every day to cross the Colombian border for food and medicine.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Constanza Santa Mar\u00eda<\/strong> is a Chilean journalist with more than 25 years of professional experience. She graduated from the School of Journalism at Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica in Santiago, 1995. In 1998 she won a Fullbright scholarship and earned a Master of Science at the School of Journalism at Columbia University in 2000. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has worked for El Mercurio, (the oldest newspaper in Chile), and Radio Duna and T13 Radio where she has anchored several news programs. For the last 20 years she has worked for Canal 13, where she is the anchor of the primetime newscast. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Constanza has focused her career in current affairs and politics (both national and international). She has anchored political programs and presidential debates, and has covered historical moments, including the terrorist attacks in Madrid and London, the first election of President Obama and the election of President Trump.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
